Middle School

WYB Soccer also offers the Middle School Soccer Association (MSSA) for 6th, 7th & 8th graders. The purpose of the league is to give middle school aged players the opportunity to continue to play the game on a recreational level. There are no tryouts. Teams are parent coached. Teams are assembled based on school, neighborhoods or intact teams moving up from a previous league. Home games are played in Worthington and away games are played against other MSSA teams at their fields. The season runs 6 weeks with generally 1 or 2 games per week. There is an end of the season tournament. Teams are fielded 11 v. 11. Game dates are normally scheduled at the coaches discretion based on players other commitments.

High School

Worthington United Premier also includes HSSA (High School Soccer Association), a league set up for the high school player. This is a co-ed recreation league that plays games on Sunday afternoon against other communities. Three female players must be on the field playing in games and all games are played 11v11.

Practices are not mandatory for these teams. Each team must have at least 1 adult on the sidelines for every game.

Ohio High School Soccer Association rules are in effect for this league. No more than 5 players per high school soccer team may be on the team. High school athletes that do not play for the high school team or seniors that have no eligibility left do not count against this rule. All high school students that are considered under 19 years old are eligible.

This league is designed for those players that do not have the time or need to play Select Soccer. It is a wonderful way to get a few touches on the ball in a game atmosphere without the time commitment of Club Soccer. It is also a way to just have fun with friends. Uniform jerseys will be provided by WYB.

Teams may be formed by individuals prior to sign up. Rosters will be reviewed to make sure that OHSSA rules are met.
